Our 7 Comedians Shows are run by our comedy business, ‘A Laugh And A Half’.  Perhaps more than a business, we are a comedy collective. In 2015, to help promote our solo shows at the 2015 Sydney Fringe Festival, a group of us put together a couple of showcase performances.  Our shows surprised us by selling out online several days before they opened, which worried us that perhaps the audiences knew something we didn’t, especially as we hadn’t even had a chance to bribe and cajole our friends and family to come before the shows sold out. 😉   Those shows were 10 Comedians and after their (unexpected) success at the 2015 Sydney Fringe festival, we began performing those shows regularly all over Sydney – and consistently selling out!

We enjoy chatting with audience members at our shows and one consistent message we got from a significant number of audience members was that they’d like to see quite a few of our comedians performing longer sets: “He was SO funny but I felt he’d just got really going and then the next comedian was on stage!”

In 2017 the owners of Sydney’s Rhythmboat asked us to produce a live stand-up comedy show to perform on their dinner harbour cruises.  We agreed that seven was the right number of comedians for this show and 7 comedians was born.  We have a rotating roster of comedians who perform in these shows.
